Great information and perspective. While I think that the overall message is true, I'd add that I think it matters how one decides to be vulnerable. Reckless vulnerability can masquerade as bravery, courage and objectivity, but it often leads to less meaningful creative expression. I think it's important to know and to face the risks and dangers inherent in vulnerability. Respecting them without being controlled by them. Just my opinion but I think that leads to better work.

I completely agree, James! Great point. And that's why I love Substack. These are not the insights etched in utmost certainty. We share them so others can build upon them. You just enriched my day. Thank you for your invaluable perspective. :)

Hey Amey, this is an awesome post! I never really thought about vulnerability as a way of living life wholeheartedly, but when you mention it, it totally makes sense! Sometimes I struggle with this because it’s easy to be vulnerable with my writing, but I struggled doing that in real life. I’m thinking I should have a gratitude journal or maybe even read my vulnerable posts aloud. I’ve also been praying more too. Thank you so much for posting this! Your newsletter is awesome by the way! Just subscribed! :)

Thank you so much, Khadejah, for taking time to read it.

We write because it allows us to live a life within those few moments that we don't get to live in the real world.

It's an escape but a meaningful one!

Thank you for your support! Means a lot! :)
